not even joking, i watched this yesterday while i was repotting some of my indoor plants. I barely looked at the screen but recited every single line in the film like a psycho.

i read the books first so i hate the movie and how many changes it made. the grandmother is supposed to be a huge bitch and they cast friggin Mary Poppins!!!

Now who else ended up reading the Meg Cabot books after watching this at the cinema?

there was an indian series that i really liked as a kid. a cousin once casually mentioned how the series is actually based on this english (language) movie, which made me very curious. so not cinema, but the only (and next best lbr) way i knew as a teenager then, i downloaded the movie from limewire. it took months, and in the meanwhile i found a pirated copy of the book in a local bookshop. i hated the movie at first for all the changes.
