why would you feel “uncomfortable” sitting next to someone with a mask on lmao like ok don’t wear a mask yourself bc ~personal freedom~ or whatever but like why would someone else choosing to wear a mask set you off?? isn’t it all my body my choice with these psychos???? the human race is doooooomed.

Considering they were in Houston, I'm actually surprised they didn't ask the person wearing the mask to take it off to make this MAGA asshole feel more comfortable.

Don't disrespect Houston like that, this isn't Dallas

It really does get to the heart of their hypocrisy because supposedly the whole point of *not* masking was "Don't tread on my freedoms".

As a side note, it's funny to have your whole identity be Budget Sam Elliott when Sam Elliott is a Democrat from California.

The only time I think it would be valid to be wary of someone in a mask in this situation is if you think they're sick and don't think a mask is enough to protect yourself from getting sick. Otherwise get the fuck over yourself if someone wants to wear a mask

You would be surprised! I have people stare or glare at me. Or my favourite, someone sees my mask and asks if I'm sick and it's like, no. The mask is to avoid getting sick! People don't get it.

I was just talking about this with a friend who still wears a heavy duty mask everywhere. Masks are triggering for a certain kind of unwell person. Now that they are less prevalent, people seem to feel more confident in even attacking a mask wearer. It's like the mask unleashes the cognitive dissonance of fear of dying and whatever block they concocted to combat that fear, and the covid denier will just lose their shit at the sight of one.

Exactly and that's the irony: they say others wear masks because they're afraid of dying and wanna cause panic, when in reality it's acutally them projecting and not being able to handle the discomfort so they act out like dysregulated kids.
