Bradley Cooper has really been nominated TWELVE times??? Her???

Amy Adams is one of the best of her generation, I think she should have gotten it for The Master

Genuinely other than that Maestro movie this year I couldn’t name a single thing he’d been nominated for.

the only other one I can think of is that Silver Linings Playbook movie, it was shit. I genuinely cannot think of TWELVE Oscar worthy movies of his

also to stay on topic of this post I googled and apparently Angela Bassett only has an honorary Oscar, that's bullshit

edit: okay I googled and apparently five of those noms are Best Picture noms for being a producer on some films. A couple are screenplay noms.

thank you for doing the work and looking that up because I was wondering but also didn't want to put any more energy into Bradly Cooper

Idk why you’re getting downvoted on your comment, but I’m glad it’s not just me drawing BC blanks!

lol idk why either but it amused me. I either angered a Bradley Cooper stan or an Angela Bassett hater. i hope it's the former, I hate to think of anyone hating Angela Bassett

Russell movies are out of fashion, American Sniper seems politically retrograde to a lot people, and A Star is Born (while pretty good) is like the 3rd remake of that story. I can see why some people think it's too much.

I didn’t look but I assume that’s across acting, directing, writing and producing.

yeah I looked. five of them are producing, two are writing. Didn't see any for directing.

I've said it before, and I'll say it a million times, she should have won for Arrival and yet she somehow wasn't even nominated.

oh I completely agree! she was excellent in that. made me convincingly believe she was really in love with Jeremy Renner, I could never have pulled that off

The snub I will never understand. Now that Dennis is a household name I believe she would have been nominated if the film came out today.
