Maybe it’s just because I have a disorder that causes extremely slow healing so any surgery is risky but it’s wild to me how casual people are about elective major surgeries.

Like, I don’t even care if someone has work done but the recovery from these surgeries seems so brutal that it’s unfathomable to me someone under 40 would have 3 boob jobs under their belt

yeah i've decided that i don't want to get any cosmetic procedure that requires general anesthesia because ime recovering from the anesthesia alone is brutal. reading her say she'd had multiple breast surgeries gave me flashbacks to some miserable times spent recovering from surgery.

Same, I've had three open heart surgeries and can't imagine doing any major plastic surgery by choice.

All I could think about when I was recovering from my septoplasty was "how can people get surgery like it's nbd?"
And I wasn't even in that much pain, just very very uncomfortable.

yess i was the same after my septoplasty! i didn't get a rhinoplasty with it and during recovery i thought "well if i didn't get a rhinoplasty on this go-round then i'm just never gonna do it" because i don't wanna go through that again if i don't have to.

I kept thinking "the Kardashians are insane, how do they keep doing it??" lmao
And I consider myself lucky because I've read about people in a lot of pain after a septoplasty but I had a huge headache the first 24 hours and then no pain at all (well I punched myself when I was sleeping one day and that was not fun but other than that it was fine).
That first week though, sooo uncomfortable.

I have friends that got breast reductions in their mid/late 20’s and their recovery was brutal. But if you’re a celeb I’m assuming majority of the time you can hire someone to take care of your life while you heal.

I'm with you. I've unfortunately had to have surgery for major medical events. It's been so painful and brutal I can't imagine undergoing any for elective reasons. No way.

the recovery from my nose job was pretty chill but my friend had an abdominoplasty + boob job and it was brutal to watch, she moved (when she was able to) like she'd been hit by a truck.

she addresses that in the podcast! she says more but she def mentions to be extremely careful and don’t do procedures casually bc it’s a massive risk.

That’s good she says that but also…she should take her own advice

Yeah, I am such a baby when I need to get a root canal, I can't imagine choosing to get these procedures.

I had an abdominoplasty to remove excess skin after major weight loss. I am glad I got it done because I no longer have issues with rashes and skin rubbing, but the healing from that surgery was the most intense and painful experience in my life. I cannot imagine doing multiple surgeries at a time or continuing to get things nipped and tucked when it was that awful for me going through it once.
