I get botox a couple times a year. Not sure if it’s because I’ve gotten older or because I’ve lost a bunch of weight or probably a combo of the two but my forehead has some wrinkles going across. I’m too damn expressive and could be because I had a chunky face so I never really had wrinkles pre weight loss. 🤣 I also apparently never relax my brows so that doesn’t help.

Above is current. Below is pre-weight loss.

botox wears off suuuuper fast for me so i just tried dysport for the first time (i've only had it for 2 weeks so idk if it'll metabolize or w/e faster yet). i also have a HYPER-expressive forehead and have been self-conscious about it for a while -- i'm extremely pale and my skin gets red easily, so when i raise my eyebrows and my forehead creases i tend to have red lines across my skin afterward. like, my face looks fine when i wake up, but as soon as i make one (1) Expression i look 10 years older than i am lmfao

also seconding the comment about your gorgeous hair!! i have halfhearted waves and i wish my hair was curlier

Oh! I’ve done dysport too. I have a family member who basically founded the filler/injection movement at her clinic. She prefers dysport so I get dysport in the winter when i’m visiting home and typically botox when I get it in my usual spots because that’s what they prefer. I’m pretty laidback so I go with the provider suggests while remaining natural.

And thank you!! Check out Mizani curl products! I’m not wearing it in the above pics but it has been a game changer for my curls.

Your curls are soooooo beautiful

Right now my routine is Sweet Potato Hair Cream, Curlsmith Flexi Jelly, and diffusing. I just have to use a fair amount of product because my hair is so thick. Are you using the Mizani hair gel?

Thank you!!

I’m using the cream based one in the tub. The curl pudding and a little goes a looooong ways. I’m only washing my hair twice a week now. I do some leave in conditioner, comb it, and then I do a quick dip of a few finger tips (like a worm’s amount?) of mizani and coat my hair right out of the shower. Then I use my microfiber towel to get the excess moisture and air dry. BUT the biggest game changer that I am absolutely kicking myself for not doing sooner is fucking spraying my hair with water between days. My curls look so good everyday day.

This is going to sound so stupid, but how do you spray your hair with water? I also have curly hair and I feel like every time I try spritzing water on my curls, it just looks even frizzier than before.

I bought a small little water bottle from the dollar tree and just have it on the mist setting. I spray all over my hair. Bottom, top, ends. Never soaked but a little wet. I sleep with my hair in a ponytail and it looks wiiiiild where it’s slept on so I’ll spray that part with water first thing.
The other thing is I wear a shower cap when I’m not washing my hair. I’m not rinsing it between washes.
I hope these tips help!

Okay, this is helpful! I feel like I was trying that and it just made things frizzier for me, but maybe I need to give it another go... the shower cap is a great tip, my hair definitely doesn't like it when I step in the shower for a quick wash!

So I’m ODDLY invested in this. Here’s my hair before, during, and after spritzing it with water. The dry pic is from right now and I’ll probably spritz it more.
Try the showercap! I was rinsing it and putting leave-in on it afterwards but I’m liking the showercap so much more. And it’s EASY having dry hair. 🤣🤣

What product are you using on your hair? I have thick hair but it’s more fine than coarse. Basically, make sure you’re keeping your curls moist/hydrated. I prefer cream products versus gel. Also, maybe do more spritzing? I’ll spritz my hair a few times a day. 🤣🤣

I've been using the LA Looks sports gel - maybe I should try a cream instead! I feel like my hair doesn't do so well with leave-in conditioners, they make my hair go flat and limp? I have no idea what my hair type is tbh haha, maybe I need to figure that out first!

Haha I'm the same way with my forehead wrinkles getting SUPER red. I got bangs like 7 years ago before it was like that and now I guess I'll just have bangs forever because I am not willing to embrace the redness of my creases

my body metabolises dysport and juvaderm sooo fast, there's no point in me getting it anymore lol, i'm glad i did the lip filler a few times tho bc now i actually have a shape to my mouth, and i don't really need any more (unless i'd want it plump plump again)
