* Jimmy points out that in 2024, there are two Broadway musicals featuring the music of Huey Lewis (Back to the Future and The Heart of Rock & Roll, which opens on March 29). Huey said the idea for the new musical came from his neighbor's son in law. The show is significantly different from the original San Diego production and features four new songs. Some songs that were cut: Some of My Lies Are True, Heart and Soul, While We're Young (which was in the show and then got cut because it wasn't fast enough). The lyrics were changed for some songs to fit the show. Jimmy's cousin Sal thought the lyrics for "If This Is It" were "you'll say anything to a butterfly" (instead of "you'll say anything to avoid a fight").

* The Greatest Night in Pop (documentary about We Are the World) - Huey had to make up harmonies with Cyndi Lauper and Kim Carnes on the spot in front of musical legends like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Bob Dylan. At the height of the group's fame, Bob Dylan wrote a song for them and sent it to them on cassette. Huey said he has no idea why they didn't record it and he doesn't know where the tape is.

* His hippie mom rented a room to a folk singer named Billy Roberts (he wrote the Jimi Hendrix song "Hey Joe") who gave his old harmonicas to Huey, which is why he learned to play the harmonica

McKenzie Kurtz (from the Broadway cast of The Heart of Rock & Roll) sings the Huey Lewis & the News song "It Hit Me Like a Hammer"
