I recently started watching a new reviewer on YouTube who didn’t seem to be a sexist asshole and then I saw his Depp playlist. He didn’t seem the type. Most of the reviewers I used to watch would casually throw an insult at Amber into a video. I stopped watching Nostalgia Critic after he did it.

it was kind of a huge scandal but im also not laying in on you, some light ribbing that's all. he's been an unfunny edgelord for so many years im not sure how you could stand it though.

I only really watched him review movies I watched when I was a kid. Some of the videos were older too and the humour didn’t age well, but I expect that with older videos. I can’t remember edgelord behaviour , but I stopped watching him a while ago.

oh is see. he kind of really went off the deep end after he quit then came back and acquired those awful actors. although foldingideas' review of his review of the wall is one of my favorite things to watch on youtube so at least he did that.

I’ve heard that review is terrible, but I’ve never seen the Wall so I haven’t seen it. I used to skip any video that had a “funny” intro. They were pointless. I’d skip any that couldn’t show clips too (I think they did this with Hocus Pocus). He definitely annoyed me at times, but I liked him enough to keep watching. Then I heard him mocking Amber and I stopped.

if you're into reviews, foldingideas' take on it is interesting enough that you don't have to have watched any of it lol just a rec. i used to be a huge nc fan back in the day when it was all pretty new, his review of neverending story was a classic to me. then some awful shit with a creepy guy went down, later there was a mass exodus of talent, and eventually they all compiled a doc about their experiences with the website and it turns out he was massively abusive himself along with all the higher ups and as previously mentioned, tried to cover up serious abuse. that whole company was a shitshow.

Yup, I follow reaction channels bc like you said, it's good background noise. I stopped follow a bunch during the Johnny/Amber case. Many of them started watching the trail like it was a show, and reacted to it, and were horrible when it came to Amber.

They were getting a lot of views and it became apparent why they were doing it. Lost a lot of respect for a lot of channels.

i stopped watching uncle roger cooking videos bc at one point he said sth like, "why are you lying, are you the amber heard of cooking" or sth along those lines. vile.
