I actually enjoyed him as Elvis in Priscilla. Maybe not enjoyed because he was…Elvis, but I thought he did a great job without overdoing it.

Lololol I wanted to add an asterisk that I haven’t seen that Elvis movie. I know he’s supposed to be great in it but it just all looked like bad cosplay, I couldn’t even finish the trailer. Maybe one day I’ll give in!

I watched Priscilla with my mom and the whole time she kept saying, "That young man really does look like Elvis!" So based on my mom's review I think he did a good job.

I love that! An aunt of mine (who passed a few years ago) was in love with Elvis (along with Yul Brynner); your comment made me think of her and what her thoughts would have been.

When I went to see it, there was a woman sitting beside me who was probably the same age as the real Priscilla is now. When she saw Elordi in the military uniform she squealed like she was a teenager again.

I agree I thought he carried the essence of Elvis well enough that I felt convinced and didn’t just see “Jacob Elordi”. Even in the photoshoots/album covers/etc. he felt natural.

Yes! Exactly! And when his switch would flip from being playful to then belittling and chastising her…it was actually scary! And he would barely raise his voice (in most cases), you could really feel the imbalance and him using his power and age to take advantage of her. I sound so insufferable talking about it 😂. I didn’t think I liked the movie all that much but maybe I did and now I want to rewatch.
