It’s not just her making the original comment, but it was her little offhand, “politically incorrect” remark with the so-called apology that made it so much crappier and disingenuous.

That was my thought as well. It’s one thing to say something insensitive unintentionally, but to not acknowledge how insensitive it was and be like “oops, lol” feels more insulting. I would have been mortified if I made that type of gaff and apologized profusely.

The original call-out was shitty, but I feel like a big apology would have made things more awkward/embarrassing.

It wouldn’t have! Hope that clears that up for you.

Yeah like how warped does someone mind have to be to think it’s a “political” issue to bully someone in to standing when they literally cannot. I feel like she’ll start raving about “cancel culture” any second ugh

She was making fun of herself, saying she had been politically incorrect.

She was a rude dumbass, it had nothing to do with that phrase even if she said it towards herself.

Not the first time I’ve seen you defend her ‘apology’ and I just want you to know it’s not a good look. Your fave is an ableist prick, don’t defend it.

lol if she was my fave would I have made the original post about it in the first place?

I already said what she did was shitty, but she still apologized when she realized the fan was in a wheelchair. You’re complaining about her making a self-deprecating joke when she realized she messed up.

Yeah because the joke is ableist in itself. There’s nothing politically anything about it….it was a way to not take ownership of saying something wrong to brush it off as such.

So you agree, she was making the moment about herself, when she could’ve just made a simple, genuine apology to her fan?
