Continuing my insane saga of early Oscar predictions ( last year's rightfully predicted winners Barbenheimer and Poor Things, and nominees Killers of the Flower Moon, Rustin, The Color Purple, Maestro, and Napoleon), we're moving on to next year's. I'm gonna list those from last year that are out this year, and some others possibly in the game.

Those moved from last year to this year:

-- crime drama The Bikeriders starring Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy & Michael Shannon
-- Steve McQueen's latest Blitz with Saoirse Ronan
-- Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two back for a lot of major awards
-- Lee Miller biopic starring Kate Winslet

Plus the ones actually set for release (unless they of course get pushed). Note that due to the strikes the list might be lighter than in previous years.

[2025 Oscar predictions... maybe]-- AMPAS loves a music biopic! So Amy Winehouse's Back To Black
-- Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone are BACK AGAIN for a third time, now with Kinds of Kindness, costarring Jesse Plemmons, Willem Dafoe, and many more
-- Angelina Jolie's Maria Callas biopic from Pablo Larraín
-- Colman Domingo's prison-set drama Sing Sing
-- Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers starring Zendaya
-- Furiosa possibly lining up with its predecessor Fury Road for big awards
-- can't forget the highly-anticipated musical sequel Joker: Folie À Deux starring Oscar winners Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gagay
-- Francis Ford Coppola's return with the star-studded Megalopolis (Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Shia LaBeouf, Dustin Hoffman, etc)
-- the acclaimed drama A Real Pain (right out of Sundance) starring Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg (who also directed)
-- Pedro Almodóvar's first English-language film The Room Next Door starring Oscar winners Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore
-- Edward Berger's Catholic-themed followup to last year's Oscar-winning All Quiet on the Western Front, called Conclave, starring Ralph Fiennes
-- Sebastian Stan's early Sundance critical acclaim from A Different Man
-- Ridley Scott's unnecessary Gladiator 2 which I expect will be another Napoleon-level mess but'll pick up tech noms
-- Kevin Costner's latest western Horizon: An American Saga
-- Clint Eastwood directs Juror No. 2 with Nicholas Hoult in the titular role
-- y'all think I forgot Wicked, THINK AGAIN!
