Every year people declare someone a frontrunner just because they won the Critics Choice. The only value they add is a televised acceptance speech and they’re not even the first of the season.

Cate Blanchett won critic's choice and BAFTA last year and then Michelle Yeoh got SAG and won. Critic's Choice as a precursor is a bit...eh these days.
