• TikTok would be banned in the US unless ByteDance divests its majority share in the app.
• Lawmakers fear "that the Chinese regime could demand access to data on TikTok’s U.S. users or somehow compel it to promote China’s agenda."
• Prior attempts to ban the app have failed; If signed into law, the legislation is expected to face legal challenges, including potentially from TikTok itself.
• Biden said he would sign it into law, but it still has to go through the Senate
