So smart! I wish my cats could do this and save me the $ of a litterbox, but then I guess i'd still have to flush, and who knows how good their little booties' aim would be. I might be cleaning up toilet seats.
Idk maybe this cat naturally wanted to pee into a bowl of water but ever since my brother’s roommate’s cat potty trained itself because they severely neglected its only litter box I feel suspicious when I hear there’s no training involved.
Funny you mention that, because i didn't take the time to watch the clip til after I commented, and now I heard Awkwafina saying the cat previously lived in a home with another cat and the litter box wasn't clean so he started peeing (but not pooping) on the toilet.
I know when cats pee/poop outside the litter box, one of the first questions to ask is whether you're neglecting to clean their litter box, especially if they're sharing with another car. So makes more sense, but i hope he now has a clean litter box to use. And lucky that he is using a toilet and not just a rug or something!
Yeah, that stuck out at me and I wondered if she’s telling the polite version/story she knows of that bc ideally a home with multiple cats should have multiple litter boxes and they should be cleaned frequently enough that one cat’s habits doesn’t have time to completely drive the other out. But now it’s rehomed so hopefully alls well that ends well 🤷♀️
In college, my roommate had a cat that she tried to potty train. We only had one bathroom and I had to remove this cat potty seat with litter every time I needed to use the bathroom. And there was also a light scattering of litter on the floor that I’d always feel when i showered.
After months of this(a good 6 or 7), it just didn’t work and she gave up. It was a very gross period in the 3 years I lived with her lol.
Awesome cat, though. He was very picky of who he liked. I remember my roommate was dating a major douche that she just kept getting back together with. The cat hated him. On more than one occasion, when the douche slept over, the cat would climb the bookcase in her bedroom and jump directly onto his sleeping back and dig his claws in.
