I don't even mind the bedazzled tighty whiteys. It's that it looks like it's too long for her torso and is popping off her shoulders that bothers me. Even if it's intentional, it looks ill-fitting.

The popping off the shoulders is a Schiaparelli thing

And it's an ugly Schiaparelli thing.

there is literally nothing working on this dress. the straps hovering above her shoulders, the weird trim on the straps, the fit feels all wrong

There's something there that could've been a beautiful look, but instead we get the bedazzled underwear, the weird straps and also the terrible hair to top it off. So many details that aren't working.

Maybe if the straps were MORE exaggerated it would've been better, because then you would know it was intentional? Now it just sort of looks like it doesn't entirely fit.

I despise the straps cause it it's trying to make her look smaller?

Like she giving off a shrinking vibe vs what the Anatomy of a Fall lady wore which said oh yeah come too close and I'll poke your eyes out.

Florence Pugh also had a hovering strap look, I wonder if they had coordinated. Florence’s dress was also kinda silly but she pulled it off better, though I think that’s because she’s better at working a red carpet than Emily.

I said this in the main thread - I think it works on Florence's dress because the top of hers was quite sculptural/structural, so it looks intentional and in keeping. Emily's looks out of place and like the dress just doesn't fit
