I miss you lockdown. And I really miss social distancing.

I really miss people wearing masks. The amount of times I've seen people sneezing into things and then putting it back on shelves. I was grossed out before the Rona, but now it's worse. No one coughs or sneezes into their elbow!

Yeah I thought the gym was gross before COVID (I actually have an email where I asked the manager for more hand sanitizer because of flu season a couple months before shutdown) and I can't go back now.

Also, I'm in a gymsnark subreddit and the amount of people who workout in basically nothing with their privates rubbing up against the equipment...yikes. All for their TikTok videos, and possibly OF because of course someone out there thinks that's sexy.

It's so gross. I always use a sanitizing wipe before and after using any equipment.

When I went to an actual gym, I did the same. That's what they told me to do when I signed up. And even then it still felt dirty. I wouldn't even use a gym towel! Just thinking about it makes me gag lol

My boyfriend stopped going to the gym in 2020 and last fall he finally decided to start going again. A week later we came down with Covid. Maybe a coincidence but I'm lowkey convinced that's where he picked it up. Gyms are gross!

You just reminded me to get more masks. I have to go to a major regional hospital once a month. I'm still using a mask after all this time. And the scary thing is that most patients have gone back to not wearing masks...

Idgaf. I still haven't caught Covid and I'm still wearing my mask. I swear, I get better service every where I go because of it. It's certainly not pretty-privilege when half my face is hidden and I no longer care to wear make up anymore.

It seems to have become a flex with a specific shit pile demographic of people. "I refuse to do ANYTHING to help stop the spread of disease, because I am not a sheep and I won't be controlled!!! Also science is fake!!!"

Dude sat down in front of me on the bus last week. I had Earphones on, but he was coughing so loudly the whole time. No mask, nada.
Then he started hunching over and I was like wtf is he doing?!! He was spitting everything he coughed up into a coffee cup. So gross and nasty. I got off the stop before the airport, so he was that sick and heading there.
Selfish ahole.

I’ve been diligent in wearing masks the past few years and I’ve gotten some rough feedback from people (including my mom, who suffers from long COVID and finds it odd I still wear masks)

The Rona finally got me in January. My sister said I'm the last person in NC to get it 😂, there's another ONTDer who is still able to say that though! I've been around people with it at least 4 times, during that time we all wore masks in the house. It was not fun. I was out for a week and remember nothing about it lol

I miss my commute being amazing because the roads were dead

Omg yes. At the time I was working with a friend of mine and we would have to go up to the office once or twice a week to get mail and do bank runs. The commute was amazing. No traffic either way. I drove up there a couple of weeks ago and the traffic was absolutely insane. Instead of a 45 minute drive it was almost 30 minutes longer.

I have a job now where I’m required to be in 4 days a week and it’s the most pointless thing ever. Luckily I walk and don’t have to worry about a commute, but it’s such a complete waste of time.
