Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C

I mean. If you follow them you know Kate often takes the pics of the kids they post for like birthdays or first day of school. If you analyze those pics I’m sure you could find Kate’s editing on them too. But those just aren’t as scrutinized because no one was trying to prove they were fake to support their conspiracy theory.

I think the AP, Reuters, etc had better reasons for analyzing and issuing kill orders for that photo than trying to support conspiracy theories.

AP has very strict guidelines around publishing photos. I think the only real question is why someone happily hit send before following those guidelines.
