emma absolutely deserved that win, lily should have been nominated and would have won supporting, i wish they gave it to jeffrey wright tbh. cillian can (and will probably) win it another year.

still none for bradley so i guess we'll have to endure even more baits until he finally gets one.

I understand when people say that Lily should've been supporting due to her screentime, I still was rooting for her. But even if Lily was in the Supporting Actress category, Sandra Huller was there, and her performance was very superior to Emma's.

ia about Bradley, I hope he keeps trying and never suceeds lol

Nah.
Even if LiLy was nominated as Suppoting, Sandra was still superior.

The Academy, once again, gave the award to "the most" acting instead of the best. It is, to me, as if Bradley Cooper would've won.

i truly doubt cillian will ever be nominated again

this was one reason i was rooting for him tbh, i think if not for the fact that he and nolan clearly like working with each other he could easily have gone his whole career without the kind of role awards shows like

exactly, and it took twenty years of consistent collaboration for nolan to cast him as the lead (even tho, imo, cillian is always the best part of whatever nolan movie he's in)

agreed! last night was a big win for those of us who walked out of the theater after batman begins thinking “wow that scarecrow guy has something special going on” lmao

This! After watching Batman Begins, I checked his filmography and was blown away by his talent. I've been saying for years that he deserves more recognition, so I'm happy that he's finally being recognised and that Nolan gave him the long overdue lead in one of his movies

I’m not so sure about this lol. if this award season showed us anything it’s that this mf is a lot more ambitious than anyone thought

Funny enough I remember watching it thinking it’s Emma’s strongest to date but didn’t need an Oscar. I still feel that way.

I haven't seen Oppenheimer but I was rooting so hard for Jeffrey. American fiction is a good film, but his performance takes it to another level <3 I adore him as an actor.

Me too! And i saw Oppenheimer and really liked it, even! But Jeffrey Wright was great.
