I'm a one of a kind person who rather goes to interior design stores than clothing stores, but lives in a collected mess of inherited and secondhand because it's cheaper.

I have not an iota of interior design talent but I love individualism and would totally hire someone if I could afford it to work around my tastes.

Too many celebs go for the easy buck. I haven’t delved into Kelly Clarkson’s partnership with Wayfair but that at least seems legit she’s not selling interior design or whatever, be honest. Reminds me of ONTD’s fave, Chrissy Tiegen, /s, and her just slapping her name on any cooking collab.

Same. Most of my stuff was inherited and I had a months long debate with myself if I should buy myself a new silverware set. I did ultimately decide to buy new silverware when a friend’s kid was moving into their first apartment and I could hand me down my mismatched 40 year old silverware to them. So everyone won.

Silverware and all the bits and bobs are a pipeline dream. And yes, I want all the useless plates (as well).

I recently inherited my friends’ parents pots and pans and they were literally the same as my parents’ pots and pans!! Just stainless steel or whatever. Have lasted so many years.

Most of my furniture came from antique stores and Craigslist. I have quite a few mid-mod gems that I got for a steal. Pretty much all of my shelving is new, though, and I have a soft spot for IKEA accessories.
