Gabriel Attal, the prime minister of France, tweeted a picture of a group of women commemorating women’s day, however it has gone viral because one woman is posing front and center while holding a volume of an omega verse yaoi work, prompting reactions online.

Yaoi, also known as boys' love and its abbreviation BL, is a genre originating in Japan featuring homoerotic relationships between male characters that spans a wide range of media, like manga, anime, drama CDs, novels, video games, television series, films, and fan works. While omega verse, a sub genre of yaoi, in which characters are usually divided in “social” classes akin to hierarchies in wild animal groups in nature, such as alpha, beta and omega, which allow not only women, but men, to be impregnated by their corresponding partner.
