I follow an extremely horny Archie comics Instagram that posts frames from the comics out of context and even they haven't ventured into Archie/Jughead territory and it's a damn shame/

ras said it was because they hadn't ever hinted at or explored that combo or suggested there was any feelings there prior to the last minute poly reveal in the finale unlike all the other combos shown so he thought it would feel like cheating if he threw them in and included them. which is true but i honestly just think cole didn't want to kiss a man (he's the only long running cast member that didn't have a gay kiss on the show)

The real issue was not including Reggie. I thought for sure Archie and Reggie were going to kiss at least once in season 7. They even said "I love you" to each other.
