Various conspiracy theories have been circulating online since Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, underwent surgery and took time off from her royal duties. Kensington Palace said in January that Kate is recovering from planned abdominal surgery. However, people think she may have had cosmetic surgery, is dealing with serious health issues or ( Read more... )

...if she had an affair, wouldn't it be easier to just let her give birth and pretend the kid was William's? Unless it was visibly different ethnicity or something.

(I know you're not the one believing this theory, I just had to be puzzled somewhere.)

It's cool. For some reason it posted twice.

I mean, **I** would think so, but maybe it was going to be obvious? I do seem to remember them saying they weren't going to have more, but that's easily explained as "we changed our minds."

At least a few of the not-completely-impossible-compared-with-aliens conspiracies I've seen:

- She and William have separated and the palace is trying to do damage control during the Charles cancer news.
- She had horrible complications from surgery and is in a coma and the palace doesn't want to reveal this for reasons.
- She had some kind of botched facelift and is waiting to heal from corrections.
- She's dead but, again, this cannot distract from Charles.

It gets grosser TW:

• William beat her so badly she 1. Needed to be hospitalized or 2. Now has a facial deformity or 3. Is now in a coma

• she tried to off herself

• She's institutionalized

• she tried to hurt one of the kids

Meanwhile, more plausible scenario? Her illness/procedure is far more serious than announced and she doesn't want to be in public sickly, weak or struggling. But that doesn't allow people to be fucking awful on the internet.

Oh 100%. Some people have taken it to really disgusting levels.

I feel like the occam's razor here is... she had a surgery that requires rest and she's taking that? Which is not crazy?

To add: I feel like there's been "speculation" that it's a hysterectomy, which I suppose people are suggesting would be "hush-hush" because of her magical king-bearing womb, but after producing three heirs it's not like people would be heartbroken that a 42 year old women doesn't plan on having more kids.

I had hyperemesis gravidarum with my one and only child. I cannot fathom having it happen during three pregnancies like Kate did AFAIK. It's not like she has to do housework or shop for food, and there would be plenty of help to raise the other children, but it's just a horrific condition. I just had stomach flu for a few days and was asking myself how the fuck did I deal with that for 9 months.

I had severe Hyperemesis with my daughter and I would not wish that shit on my worst enemy.

Did you know that the presence and severity of HG are associated with being pregnant with a girl? The reason is not known but I thought the link was interesting.

Hysterectomy doesn’t require a two week stay in the hospital.

If there are complications or they find something like endometriosis (which won't show up on x-rays or sonograms) that they have to excise, or anything that could cause them to need to open her up more, it very well could. Source: My own hysto pre-op info.

I do think Kate is the kind of woman who would think a hysterectomy is not something ”one speaks about” Wasn’t she said to be deeply uncomfortable with Meghan mentioning pregnacy hormones? But it’s her body, if she doesn’t want people to know, she has the right to privacy.
