2x5: The Secret Inner Lives of Swans In November 1975, the day after the Esquire article is published, Truman receives an inspiring visit from a fellow writer.
I'm not going to read through this or the New Look post to avoid spoilers but are folks generally liking this? Is it worth giving it a watch? I love all the actresses in it, hate everything Ryan Murphy has ever touched (though I know he's just EP on this).
I like it a lot but I'm familiar with the source material, and as long as you accept that parts of it are fictitious it's good stuff. Your mileage may vary, however.
It’s worth watching, since it does have some snarky moments and good acting but overall the feud itself isn’t, strangely, very well expanded on and presented in a very one note way that kind of drags. A subject much more interesting in written form than as a series.
I was looking forward to it bc I loved the book and I found the women facinating, but the most fascinating things about them happened before the events of this fued. Show me their past selves in some flashback eps at least! I want to see Slim Keith influencing the women of hollywood without being in the movies, show CZ in her wild days in Mexico. Babe and what she had to go through with her accident. Lee and how her sister stole her man.
