Who checks for this? I haven't once in my life.

I'm a redhead with a family history of melanoma. So I should probably check for this. 🙃

My mom - she had had melanoma, gets checked at the dermatologist at least once a year.

Facepalm 🤦‍♂️ at me, sorry. Kept hitting the wrong react.

Anyway... I'm sorry. I was being a jackass but I think you know that. *sigh*

if it runs in your family you check it! also, a dermatologist can do a skin check too if you notice any dodgy marks

Australians

I don't think I knew a single adult growing up who didn't have to have something burned off at least once.

It's better with younger generations since sun protection awareness campaigns started in the 80s, but we are still taught to be on the look out.

Yep. Were Scottish Im fair as is her father but my daughter tans fast and deep (dont know wth she got it from) with flat moles that she has already had checked in Scotland. Fast forward to her moving to North Australia, getting burnt a number of times even though she does know better. Was recently checked out and had to have something cut out, was benign thankfully but this has slapped the fear of god into her (just a saying before anyone complains). She isnt even 35 yet.

I get checked yearly, getting seen regularly is the best prevention against skin cancer - they can intervene before it gets dangerous

I had an evil mole that talked to me in 2015, after I removed it in 2016. I go to check if I have more evil moles once a year
