Thank you for no shade to the US people but full shade to our government please!

It’s so gross how car centric mostly our entire country is. When my family and I could still travel we always went somewhere with amazing public transport and not gonna lie, we’d geek out the whole time about it. It shouldn’t be novel but here we are😤

I love seeing public transport in diff cities! I live in NYC so my preference is always subways to get around but I like seeing how.. quaint the railways are in mid size cities lol

NYC was so overwhelming for me but still dream of the ease of getting around. Truly amazing!

right??? "normal people (aka non americans)" feels like a personal attack! like sorry it's not my fault Massachusetts doesn't even guarantee running trains for concerts to our stadium and the 2 trains they ran for the eras tour sold out in literally 2 minutes. its why I never go to stadium shows. it was so miserable getting out of parking for that one that I opted to fly to vegas for the renaissance tour just so I had the option to walk from the stadium there.

Some friends and me traveled to see 1D at Gillette and the fact that the only goddamn way to get there is by car/uber was so frustrating. We didnt make it to the last train because it was so late and no ubers were accepting the ride, it got scary at one point.

it's the zoning laws! they make it nearly impossible for developers to create walkable town centers in so many parts of the U.S. and require like a billion parking squares per lot PER franchise or operation it's beyond ridiculous

Reliance on cars is the direct result of an obscene amount of dedicated, multigenerational lobbying against public transportation by greedy profiteers. Search the Koch brothers' lobbying against public transit across the US. Plus billions on billions in advertising individualistic indulgence (like your car on the open road) over collective liberation and rapid mass transit innovations. Shape the culture, shape the 'need'.
