Very brave of them to broach this topic. There's still way too much Hollywood silence about what child actors go through.

Very brave in many ways especially when they initially believed Peck.

Fishel speculates their parents may have given Peck a pass in an attempt to not seem homophobic

Not saying this for their parents, but I also think a lot of showbiz parents give people like Peck a pass for the money, sadly.

1000%

You can see this happening with parents of kid influencers, how they’ll purposefully film them eating popsicles and say people voicing their concerns about who the market is are the gross ones.

Did you hear about the mother who actually posted photos online of her child waxing 24 clients private areas in one day? Talking about she earned $774 and a full day of work and the girl looks to be about 7 at most. The mother needs to be locked up as well as the 24 grown ass women who spread their legs open for a child to wax them.

i saw that and it was disgusting. Luckily, the mother was recently arrested for it

“We weren’t told the whole story, but it doesn’t change the fact that we did it,” Friedle said.

Lack of google, his influence, etc… I get it. But, they’re adults now and I’m glad they can see how wrong they were to defend him - especially in court. My heart still hurts for the victim and the mother having to face this, though.

The growth some of them have shown is a nice contrast to people like Mila & Ashton who (at the similar age of the BMW cast) defend their defense of a rapist.

"it doesn't change the fact that we did it" is just a great way to put it. i respect him for that.

He seems like a real classy person - and I say that with sincerity. I have never heard anything bad about Will Friedle.

I cannot imagine the guilt that they must carry around. It is a fucking terrible feeling when you realize you were a pawn in someone’s scheme to intentionally hurt others.

I took a look at peck’s imdb. He has to be a decent talking point for this docu series. It seemed like he worked exclusively on teen nick series in the aughts. He was around amanda bynes a lot.

Huge red flag on his IMDB bio:

Brian Peck is a Jewish American actor, narrator and filmmaker from Huntington, Indiana who acted in various films, shows and video games including The Amanda Show, X-Men, X2: X-Men United, Return of the Living Dead, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Forever Strong, Lovewrecked, Holes, Good Burger and The Willies. He frequently collaborated with Bryan Singer and Dan Schneider.

It’s very brave of them to confront this, and their unintentional role in it (and they were young and following their parents lead) because so many people just bury their heads or insist they played no part.

It’s no small thing to say “I was wrong and someone was hurt.”

I can easily say I’m wrong but I cannot as easily admit how the actions have hurt someone. That takes a lot of ownership & self reflection.
