one of the neighbors in our building is this sweet old Canadian guy from Manitoba who comes down here for the winters (I'm in Florida, we have a lot of Canadians here for the winter) and when my roommate was walking the dog in her Pokemon pajamas today, he got all excited and said he was a huge fan of the animated series. I love it, I hope when I'm super old I still love cartoons. He told my roommate he loves how positive it is. :3

i get you.

i have such a strong aversion to the kind of adult animation shows that are like "we're NOT kids cartoons! we're for adults! we have fart and sex jokes!!" and it's like, calm down, just do a mature show and don't be so weird about it. there's plenty of animated content for adults that just does its thing. it's almost like the adult swim etc crowd are secretly embarrassed about being animation and have to make up for it, which is just cringe.
