There was a time between 2003 and 2010 when he was really popular with ~dude bros~. All his movies listed on their myspace pages under favorite movies, right beside a dancing gif of a weed leaf.

I distinctly remember him being popular in the late 90s as well. He was definitely niche but Chasing Amy was pretty big.

I feel like "Gigli" may have maybe ruined his audience a bit since it came out before "Jersey Girl." "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" was packed..but "Clerks 3"..there were only a few of us in the theater. Not sure what happened to his audience.

he was popular mostly in an era before social media gave people access to do things.
