An Irish queen trying to maintain a fake smile in front of a known bigot. No idea what the rest of them are doing.

They're all very talented but pretending to care what prince Bill has to say is a role they are underprepared for lol.

Close. He was actually revealing that even tho he's the BAFTA President, he didn't see their films, which is rude enough, but he also said that a film where one of the actresses is a victim of sexual assault "looked like a lot of fun."

He's so bad at his job.

Prince William joking that an actress's role where she's raped "looked like a lot of fun" is exactly what you'd expect from a man that drives Prince Andrew to church. #BAFTA pic.twitter.com/slx3bGzNha

I, like the president of BAFTA, did not see this movie and missed this context!

Jesus, is he really the BAFTA president? I can't imagine the BRF can handle anything more challenging than the Teletubbies, but I'm sure this is yet another job he's not qualified for. Such a disgustingly inappropriate thing to say, but yeah, unfortunately about what I'd expect from them.

And same as the above commenter I tend to skip movies with SA so I didn't know the context either, that makes it so much worse!

I did not know that Bafta presidents were either members of the BRF or british aristocracy. I'm surprised Prince Edward hasn't been in this role since he's the one that's into film/tv arts.

You're right, Edward would make much more sense. William has no interest in cinema, he just uses these as a way to be photographed with movie stars. His entire life is a series of staged photo ops designed to flatter him.
