This is the only season of true detective I've watched so I thought it was fun. The finale tied things up nicely with a bow.. But would have liked more detail about how Holden died and where Liz's husband went? And how Clarke died? So that was Navarros doing too?

Clearly her husband and son died in a car accident. I don’t think we really need to know more tbh. I think Navarro agreed to let Clark go for the recording of his confession.

I thought for a second the husband was the teacher guy who she met up with him at school one time I was a bit confused.

Also what's the significance of the cross necklace!

yea i thought the cross necklace belonged to Navarro's mom. I was pretty sure in one of her flashbacks of her mom she was holding or wearing the necklace. Then Navarro sees it in her own car and tosses it out of the window with disgust, bad memory. At least that was my interpretation. So then i was really confused when Danvers found it behind her head in the bunk near the end. Maybe i missed some other meaning to it or it didn't actually have to do with Navarro's mom, idk.

I think the oranges and necklaces are related to Navarro's mother and sister and their connection to death/the afterlife. They appear to Danvers in the final episode because that's when she gets closer to the barrier between life and death/whatever comes after.

I assumed he died in a car accident based off the glass?

because of the drunk driver in the earlier episode i assumed it was a drunk driver but then when she had a clear problem with alcohol and sometimes wanted to drive when drinking i was like, was she driving?? i don't think that's the case but i was expecting somebody specific to be at fault
