February 16, 2024 -The CW is attempting to make a comeback as NexStar now has complete control.
-Superman & Lois was renewed for a 4th season after negotiating licensing fees and cutting the shows budget with WBD.
-Later it was announced that it would be the shows final season.
-Now CW bosses are letting it be known that Superman and Lois was only cancelled because WBD didn't want to take away from Superman:Legacy, the big screen reboot.
-It's very deja vu as Warner Bros. attempted to cancel Smallville when they were working on Superman: Returns. Superman Returns ended up bombing while Smallville went on to last 10 seasons.
-When CBS picked up Supergirl, Superman was also embargoed from ever appearing on the show outside of being a shadow and emails before they allowed Superman to appear in season 2 on a limited appearance (similar to Lois Lane on Smallville)
-WB is still developing a brand new Batman film that will take place in the DCU and have no connection to The Batman-verse.
