So, I do believe that Jen is in a good place. Both trauma-bonded years ago, and she does seem to have done the work and still do. He definitely has a family history of depression and alcoholism, and I think it's great he's maintained his sobriety and has been improving with her. She definitely was using Gestalt, DBT, narrative, and other therapy language in an Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe. She is owning up to her relational shit. We already know her acting skills, and I do think she's real about what she's saying:

The new album is cohesive and more mature. It's definitely On the 6 meets This Is Me... Then. It's a bit of R&B and Latin influences. She used organic and real instruments. There really isn't much autotune, and it is her real voice. I'd be telling you if it wasn't.

Not gonna lie, I know people laugh at Dear Ben, but Dear Ben Part II is probably her best off the album. She does sing about her own personal shit in the album, but she did say the album is more about the relationship, but the movie is really about her personal life story.

I'm too lazy to write what I said about the film and her comments about no longer making music. I posted here because I learned far more about her relational trauma, both her mommy and daddy issues that led her to do these intergenerational patterns:

The album is honestly good if you're a fan. It's no fluff and no basic instrumentation. I think she may still make EP's and singles, but I can see what she meant about not making music. I think she may not know how to top off this album since it's her best work since TIMT, and she hasn't released an album for 10 years.

i just listened to the album and i was pleasantly surprised. "can't get enough" and "rebound" were the standouts for me, but i agree that "dear ben, pt. ii" is also v strong and wish it was called anything else lol.
