She really does. Someone close to me is part of beyhive and just even bringing up her performing in Iran (please correct the country because it doesn't sound right) who's anti lgbtq and they were... not happy haha and couldn't take that 1 criticism.

wasn't it the Saudi's? I don't think she's performed in Iran

I mean do we want these people's takes on foreign policy really, honest question? do they have valid things to add?

I feel like the best thing they can do is be like Joe here and wear a pin to support an end to violence (that's an easy thing to support) because I don't expect these home schooled celebs who probably are not well-read on international affairs to just say important, useful, and helpful words on these issues

I think in this conflict the importance has been people highlighting the oppression of the Palestinians. I wouldn't mind a slightly bad take but it's given a lot of people courage even under threats. Taylor could actually do some good here but she's too busy protecting her money. And people see her as an idol?? She's done nothing with her position. Absolutely nothing.

she went to a fundraiser for Palestine a few months ago I think, that some ppl tried to criticism her for. And she's allegedly great friends with Gigi Hadid and also with Bella

.... idk yeah her silence is weird, she's not completely removed or unaware of what's happening

I think if you drape yourself in the aesthetics of revolution (Beyoncé) it's not a surprise that there is an expectation to do more.

I can't speak to TS but I think I recall a post about her talking about political engagement.

But anyway, yes, celebs are generally not very smart and lacking in conviction.

I don’t think you need a university degree to realise killing defenceless people with the aid of foreign capital is immoral but I also went to NYU so what do I know
