I need to rewatch as told by ginger it was one of my fave shows growing up

I was blown away at how they actually allowed the characters to age, go from middle school to graduating, and navigate all the awkward, cringey, and embarrassing aspects of being a tween/teen. Breakups and make ups, not just between Ginger and boys but between friend groups. So many of those 90’s cartoons left the kid characters the exact same age for their entire run. Not As Told by Ginger.
They allowed the characters to do and say dumb shit and learn and grow, but not in a sweet little sanitized “I learned my lesson in a single episode” kinda way, like the show has serious character arcs. And not just for Ginger, but for Carl and Hoodsie too. And don’t get me started on how well the show dealt with her mom, her absent father, and other family stuff that I won’t spoil if you don’t remember lol.
Wow I didn’t realize I had so many feelings about that show lmao but I think you’ll enjoy your rewatch too☺️

YES. That whole arc about the other girls wanting to do more ~cool grown up acts but Macie wanting to hang on to childhood for a little longer was so sweet and moving. Man I love this show.
