I actually have no sympathy for her lol. Alot of hard-working kids from low-income /working class families don't get in their dream colleges because of families like her who cheat the system and take their place.

And then the kids that do make it always get questioned as to how they got in. They get treated worse than the kids that got in because of rich parents.

Yup. Not to mention, the system is already stacked against those kids to begin with. On the other hand, rich kids get private tutors, their parents' usually have good relationships with the school administrations and teachers, they have the means to afford expensive after-school activities that look good on paper, and despite all that and all their privileges, they still cheat to get into college. It's disgusting.

Exactly. If she wasn't caught (like many rich people before her, undoubtedly) she wouldn't feel bad or sorry for shit.

Also “wanting make sure your kid has a future” when your kid is felicity Huffman and William h Macy’s child and could work as a server in a Cheesecake Factory for the rest of her days and still always have everything she needs or wants…

mte Their kids are already set for life. And how does having someone else take the SAT help prepare them for the future?

You could argue she did her kids a disservice by being very wealthy and famous. What do these girls know of any work ethic? They never had to do jackshit for anything in their life.

and her daughter is always gonna have to face the fact that this happened because her mom thought she was too stupid. how hard does that hit as a rich, white nepo baby?

I'd argue her daughter is the one suffering the real punishment. No matter how Felicity dresses it up to her as 'wanting her to have a future'. 'You still thought that I was too dumb to get there myself mom. You had such little faith in me to the extent that you broke the law. Am I really that stupid in your eyes?'

Her career is only one aspect of this fall out. She should be much more concerned the the relationship with her daughter is forever changed now. But maybe her kid will politely swallow her 'i wanted you to have a future' BS.

And now with all of these DEI initiatives being challenged and the whole Claudine Gay scandal, academia is becoming white and conservative again.
