I’m way late to the party on this one lol but I just finished True Detective season one and whew lord the women nudity and sex scenes in that show was so ott. I remembered too that someone had come out and said that Cary was a creep behind the scenes and pushed for the nudity. Because I like to read reactions to shows that I finished when I was googling I found an article where Cary and Nic were like “hbo made us do the sex scenes and nudity!” Just bold faces lies that’s why I’m so over sex scenes you just don’t know who’s being exploited to make that entertainment

I probably wouldn't be crazy about sex scenes in general but I think the unnecessary nudity and sex scenes from mid 00 and 2010s turned me off completely. Then hearing about the bts on the affair and GOT? I'm over it.

How many people were coerced to do things they didn't want to

The biggest shows in Gen Z’s lifetime are both Game of Thrones and Euphoria and we need to focus on there when we’re examining their distaste for sex in cinema imo.

We had a post a while back where an extra came out saying how Cary tried to get to do nude scenes during a strip club scene. I don't remember it all but she had made clear that she did not have to do nudity for that scene and she had no nudity clause in her contract but day of he tried to get to do by saying how the other girls are naked. She refused to comply and eventually lost that role.

Yes! Such ugly behavior that I’m sure is all too common. It’s so stupid too because the stripper having a top on or not makes absolutely no difference to a scene of detectives taking to someone for information in a club. It’s just exploitation disguised as ~art
