idk what was going on with Julien but it does seem very much like she didn't want to take any more photos but then had to because Taylor wanted photos with them? idk at my most kind take I'll say that Taylor seems either oblivious to Julien's emotions or like she has no idea how to comfort somebody. Julien is my fave boygenius member and I feel so bad for her :(

I mentioned this in the other post and it's almost certainly totally unrelated but directly after the Grammy's Phoebe and Lucy both cleared their instagrams and unfollowed the boygenius account (and Phoebe maybe unfollowed a bunch of people in general). Julien's insta is the same tho which makes it seem like not a joint decision for promo/a new era but who knows!

taylor seems like the friend that won't comfort you in person or give you a call to see if ur ok but instead will get someone to send a massive bunch of flowers so that she can pat herself on the back without having an actual conversation where the feelings aren't about her.

they said boygenius is no more after their final performance and the reason they went so hard with press and performances (SNL, etc) was b/c they always knew this was the final one.

boygenius said at their shows last week that those were their last shows together and they were going on a hiatus. They were always super clear that boygenius is the side project to their solo music, so if anything, clearing their instagrams might be a signal that the boygenius cycle is done for now and they’re hearing up for their next solo releases. I think Lucy and Julien’s last albums were in 2021 and Phoebe’s in 2020 so it’s been a while for each of them.

Boygenius is taking a hiatus and they’re all releasing solo stuff next. Don’t think it’s anything more than that and the fact that julien is on social media the least.
