I don't really follow them but from what I've seen Lucy and Julien seem a lot more chill compared to Pheobe.

She's def the more opportunistic one cause more in Taylor's circle of friends than Lucy and Julien.

Idk is Julien is just overwhelmed or something else but I feel for her. Taylor would be the loudmouth and doing the most in that photo op lol. She's def a dominant type.

i have friends i love deeply and think are amazing and would do anything for and then when i go to their parties i’m like, i really don’t get my awesome friend’s taste in friends…. between this and the matty healy tweet a while back i kinda wonder if that’s how lucy feels about phoebe

I've been wondering about that cause I remember seeing Phoebe's tweets come up on my TL for a while and she's claims progressive issues and loudly proclaims them which fine but when she's hanging out with people like Taylor and Matty.....that directly contradict what she loudly was letting everyone know where she stands on politics and progress.

Like at least Lucy will speak out and stands on business (ex calling Obama a war criminal and calling out Matty) and clearly does not care how that might effect her.

I definitely get the vibe that Phoebe is Taylor's friend and Lucy and Julien are just like...okay. I know they opened a bunch of her shows, I have to wonder how their music was received.

Like if the audience enjoyed the music and was respectful of them or if they just talked the whole time. I saw a video of just Phoebe singing one of her big songs while opening for Taylor and you could hear most of the crowd just talking and not paying attention.

I was at a show where pheobe opened and people were definitely into her set

Phoebe’s opening dates were the hardest to get. There’s a lot of overlap between fanbases especially with gen z.

And I went to a boygenius concert and there were a ton of young teens/preteens and not to be old but they were so obnoxious like SCREAM singing the songs that I had to tell them to be quiet (to the appreciation of people around me). It wasn’t just one group. I was like, I really just want to be able to hear Lucy sing lol

Ughhh, that would drive me crazy. I don't get why people have to scream. I paid money to hear the artist. I always just kind of mouth the words cause no one came to hear me sing. I once shushed a group of women at a very quiet concert cause they were yapping loudly the entire time.

Yeah like I normally don’t care about singing loudly at concerts but this was insane! There were kids doing it at the eras tour too but that was easier to shrug off given it was Taylor and just the vibe is different. But these girls were like legit screaming so loud I couldn’t hear the boys and also like crying/hyperventilating, it was too much. Literally people were thanking me but I was like come on people I can’t be the only one willing to do this.

Only Phoebe was an opener for Taylor’s tour. Lucy and Julien joined her for one boygenius song at a single show, I believe. (And then Matty Healy joined her as a guitar player in her band for several shows. 💀)

i think naturally phoebe is chill and more like them but she cares about clout chasing where they don't. i don't think julian and lucy gaf about taylor

Phoebe is totally clout-chasing, it's obvious as hell. Lucy and Julien don't seem as concerned.

Lucy even looks like she was about to roll her eyes when Taylor asked to put the grammy on her head.

yeah Phoebe is playing the game. which i don't think is a bad thing and if anything works in Julian & Lucy's favor bc then Phoebe can take that on and they can relax. it's just often on nights like these where things like that can clash 😬
