I have no idea what Aussie law is on recording someone without their consent, but if Jacob asked him to a) not record and b) delete/not use what was recorded without his consent, then I do think it's wrong for the radio guy to keep recording and badgering him about not stopping. And sure it's a sexual question directly related to the movie but it's a gross line of questioning?
I wonder why he didn't play the audio if it really was that Jacob just flew off the handle with no provocation? Maybe the police told him not to, to be fair.
IDK there's no excuse for physical violence, but I do think the story as the radio guy told it really undersold how intrusive and aggressive it could be to be approached with a recording and being badgered with sexual questions.

agreed, but if your first thought of getting out of a situation is by getting aggressive uhmmmm maybe try to deescalate by just removing yourself from the situation first?

Had a dude non stop sexually harassing me and a friend of mine (we were both injured), nobody would help us in a crowd. He kept leering and physically getting in our space. I snatched the glasses off his face and threw them into the crowd. He started spitting in my face and I punched him. Are people just expected to take non stop harassment without defending themselves?
