No I agree, Ive always felt like that edgelord thing was masking a lot of trauma gone unaddressed especially after that her father had never bothered to meet her after leaving as a toddler but was chiming from South Africa about how proud he is after she got famous

But we’re seeing with Nicki that mental illness isnt an excuse for all bad behavior. Reason =\= excuse. Doja has the money and resources to seek help and be better and I hope she does

Having enough money will not guarantee you will get the Right help. A lot of these stars get Drs that are enablers and getting the right therapist as a minority can be very hard even with money. I remember when Wendy Williams went to one and she said the therapist could not get over how she came from a upper middle class 2 parent home. Racism in all areas of medicine is so high.

Doja has ADHD and it is not an excuse to point out what she is doing due to her illness.If a person can just stop, Then stop drinking, lose/ gain weight and never get into an abusive relationship.

I'm not blaming you at all for posting it, because the info is out there. What I have issues about is this is a restraining order that a famous person's mother made against her son and this should have been sealed; the info should have never been out there for random people to read in the first place.

With that I totally agree. It's like DV victims have to grow a different set of armor these days, and not only drive home in zigzags and watch your rear view mirror, but have a plan for this kind of situations too.

To me what you mention is secondary. Primary is the that a person with some status is dealing with exactly the same, textbook shit, as the rest of us, DV victims. And from that point of view it was important, that you have posted that. 'Cause I was reading it and thinking:"Of course the orders have expired. It's been more than 5 years, so it's sad, but not surprising at all".
It's like when a famous actress talks about abuse from her father that she endured as a child, and a person who is told that they are nothing and will die in a gutter hears it, and maybe will think:"Nah, look at her, if she made it, maybe I can too".
