people can say a lot of things about madonna, but that she goes through the motions on tour is not one of them. that one woman gives more than an entire generation of pop girls (whom i won't name because i'm a fan of several of them and not in the fighting mood) combined. and even the most ardent hard candy haters tend to concede that the sticky and sweet tour was one of her best.

I was just gonna say that the Sticky and Sweet tour was amazing live. Personally I think it was her last great tour.

i can definitely understand how her chronic lateness could put a damper on the experience, but that person has had plenty of time to roll back the footage and realize their judgment was clouded!

I know someone who goes to guitar camps. Apparently Rihanna's guitar player was giving workshops at one of them and talking about how rough touring life is. Allegedly, she is late because she's depressed with touring and getting the motivation to go out on stage. I know this is very "my friend with a bike."

Who's depressed? Madonna or Rihanna? I'm guessing Madonna in this instance. I do feel for her :(

Lol part of me is laughing because she's not a good performer in general BUT I do wish her well and at least she's a billionaire so she'll never have to tour again.

re: madonna, i unfortunately had the same bad experience as that person who posted, it was such a bummer. reading the comments on reddit, seems like the hard candy tour was an overall shitshow

I love her, I play her concerts constantly (especially when I'm feeling blue), but she is such a weirdo about being late. Meaning that a lot of her concerts would have a better energy if she went on stage sooner, it's like she's shooting herself in the foot. But this is only one of the very many things that is confusing as a madonna fan. :D

I'm so curious about what goes on backstage, is everyone else ready and just hanging around or is it a given that it'll always be a bit late or...

I just saw her at her Toronto show. Yeah she was late but she put on a great show.

I saw Madonna for her Rebel Heart tour and I don't even remember if she was late. The atmosphere was great and I was just excited to finally see her live. The show was amazing and I would risk the late start time stuff to see her again.
