Rapper Keys out of Baltimore hopped on the "Itty Bitty Piggy" beat to deliver shots at Nicki's skills as a rapper and call her soft. While this went fairly viral online, it didn't have much impact and Keys career status is unclear.
While Nicki initially paid homage to Lil Kim, things went downhill once they actually met. After months of subs (subliminal insults for the uninitiated) back and forth, Kim released Black Friday the same week as Nicki's original Pink Friday. Nicki responded with a track of her own, reversing the cover art for Black Friday.
While researching for this post, I was like "surely there must be a song where Cardi really goes in on Nicki" but I was shocked to find out that theirs has been a battle of subs back and forth since 2017. Cardi rapped on her verse in No Limit "can you stop with all the subs / Bitch I ain't Jared" (kind of darkly ironic now). But beyond that, their feud has been online > subs > altercation at the Harper Bazaar Awards > subs > online.
Latto entered the chat in 2022 when Nicki involved her in some nonsense about the Grammys. They went back and forth online, culminating in Latto posting her recording of a phone call between the two.
In 2023 Latto teased a new song with the lyric "thought I'd kiss her ass / she must ain't took her meds" which was considered a sub directed at Nicki and her known pill habit. A solo version of the song was released, followed by a remix with a Cardi verse.
Chronologically 3rd, this was too lethal to be anything but last. Backstory is pretty known, but while Remy Ma was incarcerated, Nicki was talking her up until Remy was released. Nicki then began throwing shots on various songs, until Remy responded with 7 minutes of pure venom.
This hit the timeline like a cannonball with all of the revelations. Nicki took her time responding, but came back with her Young Money brothers Lil Wayne and Drake on "No Frauds" and claimed they don't make diss tracks, they make hit records and then diss on them. Nicki used her connection to Nas to prevent Shether from streaming, limiting its reach, as it uses the beat of Nas's diss to Jay Z, "Ether"
