Rita Ora is one of the first artists to sign up for a Live-Aid-style concert every TWO years to raise money to fight climate change.
Other names that have signed up are:
- Robbie Williams
- Justin Bieber
- Katy Perry
- Imagine Dragons
- The Eagles
- Bruce Springsteen
- Ed Sheeran
- Sia
- The Weeknd
- Tiesto
- Billie Eilish
- Santana
- U2 said they were busy. Jk, ofc they signed up for this
- Two concerts are planned - one in London, UK and one in Los Angeles, USA - and the plan is to have them every two years
- An anonymous source said money from tickets will go to a new Climate Aid charity to fund "large-scale investments to significantly reduce emissions and move to a low-carbon global economy" (the source doesn't specify what these investments would be, or if they're planning to donate all the money, only the profits, or a portion of the profits)
- The source continued, "it will mark 40 years since Live Aid raised over £100million for famine relief in Ethiopia". We all remember how famously that worked out and now everything's fine
- Climate Aid will be managed by a few parties including Island Records, and produced by the guy who produced ITV's coverage of the platinum jubilee aka Platty Joobs
