I agree. I can’t imagine being involved with someone whose response to “Tell me one thing, anything, about yourself” is “Fuck off” and stomping out. He deserves better!

the actor is handsome and the character is nice. in real life yeah i would've said he deserves better but in fiction i love this gender-reversed cold (not-in-touch-with-his-emotions) man/sweet woman trope.

I think it's Hank projecting his overseas bride insecurities and also D lost her son very young and Pete fills that void?

Omg. I think the poisoned water is causing Navarro to hallucinate, and that Danvers shot the guy who was whistling "Twist and Shout" after killing his victim. I caught these two things but I can't figure out that mf-er isn't her actual son? 🤣 I'm so embarassed lmao.

[Spoiler (click to open)]I’m loving the ‘there’s something in the ice and we woke it’ vibe that’s been going on this season. I know it’s not something supernatural but a tiny part of me would love that. I love a good supernatural being fucking people up. That being said it’s something in the water. BUT WHO KILLED ANNIE. I know it probably going to be Hank/one of his buddies. I hope it’s not, but good ole racism is a really easy plot point.

AND UGH, the body horror in this episode was wild. Lund sitting up from the hospital bed all frostbitten will stay with me forEVER. And the scene at the hockey rink with the vet was great too.

All this show is reminding me that I need to find books with this type of premise. I love a good crime/thriller/horror story set in arctic temps.

I’m also loving the Inupiaq representation!!

It made me sad when Navarro said her mom never told her what her Inupiaq name is. I'm not native/indigenous but as someone who comes from a family of immigrants and didn't learn the "real" names of any of my family members until a recent death in the family, I can relate somewhat (all of them took American names when they came here so there's no written record of their original names). Obviously it's not the exact same situation but I get that ache of wanting to connect to your heritage and having a big void.

Have you watched season one of The Terror? It is near perfect Arctic horror.

When we got the flashback of what really happened to the abusive boyfriend, I was kind of laughing that Danvers has had this attitude towards Navarro all this time and it turns out that the main issue is that Danvers is annoyed that Navarro isn't okay with murdering people (and of course I still think that they hooked up and that's another issue between them). When he started whistling Twist and Shout, I was like oh damn, she gonna murder you, son!

I wouldn't be surprised if Navarro was the one who murdered him

The way they set it up to be a reveal, definitely agree Navarro took the shot

It could go either way with who took the shot. Frankly, if it's one of them, it's more likely Navarro, and Danvers covered it up, but tbh, they both could have shot him.
