I can’t believe she had the nerve to set up a GFM for her kid’s trip. I also have a feeling that her kid goes to a school where other parents can afford this trip.

She's trying to defend herself saying she can't pay for EVERYTHING for the team which ok I agree with that part but then why she did the GoFundMe herself? That's just stupid

Why not bish. You want people living paycheck to paycheck to pick up the slack

Probably because she thought she would bring the most awareness to it than someone named Jane Smith.

there's no way the majority of the kids on that team don't also have richie rich parents

yeah exactly. she shouldn't have to pay for everything just bc she's the richest parent but give me a break starting the gfm.

It was 10k for the entire team (plus coaches and chaperones) to take a trip to the baseball hall of fame. 10k is a lot of money, but split up between parents and fundraising, it would be manageable for an affluent community. Her post and GFM made it look like she was somehow stuck footing the bill.

And any team/club I’ve been a part of, we had to do fundraisers selling frozen pizza and oranges and shit to raise money for our trips. GoFundMe is ridiculous. Have the kids learn that you have to put effort in to afford things.

Seriously! The amount of candy I sold from elementary school through high school to pay for uniforms, competitions, class trips, etc. is mind boggling!
