- Award winning author J.D. Barker reached out to booktokers with offers for them to promote his work and suggested tiktoks for them to make
- One of the suggestions was to have them pose nude with only his book covering them up
- The payment for this promotion was as low as $100 HOWEVER the money was only available pending approval which means Barker was basically just asking for semi-nudes
- Barker is claiming innocence and saying the PR company he employed came up with this strategy
- It's a PR company he founded
