Lily Gladstone's number one fanboy Leonardo DiCaprio shared the above post on his instagram congratulating Lily on the historic nomination -
Congratulations to my dear friend @LilyGladstone for making Oscars history, as the first Native American woman to be nominated for Best Actress in Killers of the Flower Moon, and the fourth Indigenous actress to ever earn a nomination in the category.
And to this powerful film’s nine other nominations - telling this story with all of you has been an honor.
Lily separately shared the text received from Leo on the Oscar nom, but also said: "we’re celebrating me, but we’re also, like, collectively very pissed off for you," as he was snubbed from best actor.
On another note, Lily's already booked for another big role: starring in Charlie Kaufman's adaptation of 'The Memory Police' for director Reed Morano, executive produced by Martin Scorsese.
