ppl can sit at home and watch the entire first weekend get broadcasted live on youtube? there's no level of FOMO involved in this festival anymore and it's become more of an influencer thing for ppl to go than for normies who enjoy music anyway
I obnoxiously say this in every Coachella post, but I'm so glad I got to experience it during the early-mid years (2007).
The only people who got extra with dressing up were actual legit celebs and maybe a handful of models, I dressed like a Canadian in 45 degree heat for the first time (extremely dorky) and didnt care as I was legit there for the music, the line up was so damn solid (Amy winehouse, Bjork, Air, Sonic Youth, etc.)
It's too bad the early 20-somethings now have such a watered down and commodified version of the festival.
