Interesting situation. Either he’s telling the truth cause actors can be terrible to their actors (although till now I haven’t heard an actress do this type of thing tbf 👀) or he’s being sneaky 👀.

Up to now I haven’t heard issues about him and I guess if he was guilty some rumors maybe would’ve been spread somewhere?

Interesting he brings up Nicole cause they were in The Others together but he only has scenes with her in that movie iirc.

it could also be that he is telling the truth as he sees it, and the actress would tell a different story if asked while also being honest… like maybe he was really accused of copping a feel when he wasn’t but the actress did feel uncomfortable. either way i guess we all agree that it’s a situation that demonstrates the value of intimacy coordinators!

This might be the most likely story. Things are rarely black and white. He might have thought he was acting appropriately based on the requirements for a sex scene and she might think he was doing too much. Every actor has said these are awkward scenes to film, wouldn’t be surprised if there were some miscommunication. Plus it sounded like they had a bad relationship so I doubt either of them assumed positive intent.

Baffles me that if "every actor has said these are awkward scenes to film," why do audiences keep pushing for more sex scenes? If you want actors to feel awkward to simulate sex or intimacy for you, there's something wrong with you, not with cinema.

Are audiences asking for more sex scenes?

Last I heard Hollywood hasn’t been having much sex in movies recently. I can’t even remember the last sex scene I saw in a Hollywood movie. It’s all on tv. Like family guy says, it’s all “violence in movies and sex on tv”.

If there’s a place in dire need of intimacy coordinators it’s probably tv.

That being said, it can be good to see in the right story, as long as it add to the story.

Like if the characters had awkward sex and it’s part of the story, it might be good to show. But random sex and nudity (looking at you Game of Thrones) just for the sake of it is wrong, especially since it’s so uncomfortable for the actors to film. The writer/director should always ask themselves if it’s necessary, and if so, why.

Mindy Kaling kissed someone without their consent, didn't she? Lee Pace I think?

Not sure but I know Margot admitted to planting a kiss on Brad Pitt while making Babylon even though that wasn’t in the script.
