-The most famous fraternal twins on scripted tv reunited for Shannen Dohertys podcast 'Lets be Clear'

-As I'm sure every.single.poster on ONTD knows....Shannen played the iconic Brenda Walsh and Jason played her twin brother, Brandon Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210.

-It's a rather short episode...but they discuss getting cast on the show. Shannen figured that she wouldnt get the part of Brenda since it was between her and another actress they flew in from NYC. Shannen figured if your flying someone in across the country....you're likely casting them.

-She was about to leave when they stopped her and had her read with Jason to see if they got that twinergy since they were the OG leads of the show.

-Season 1 was their best season bts as everyone was fresh and getting along (deja vu)

-Once the show became a hit Shannens life became a bit of a mess. She admits she was a problem child, she & Tori would close down the clubs and then report to work 3hrs later, by season 4 she was often late which would hold up production.

-She didnt let her cast in on her personal issues: by the time S4 came around she was married and her husband was an alcholic and into drugs which weighed heavily on her along with her dad ongoing medical issues. She thinks it partially impacted her work ethic. Jason wishes that she had opened up to him more so he could've understood what she was going through.

-Their infamous Rolling Stones cover was when they knew the show was a hit and also looking back on it was very awkward with Shannen/Jason playing siblings but having this sexual chemistry with one another in the photos. The cover of course also caused friction bts (as she revealed in her episode w/Holly) as the other cast members were pissed that they werent part of it (Shannen/Luke/Jason were the face ofthe show at the beginning)

-Come season 3, they allowed Jason to start directing which he really enjoyed and Shannen thought he did a great job (Shannen would go on to direct during Charmed)

-Jason says that Shannens departure from the show was a hard one and they weren't sure where the show goes without her and without Brenda/Brandon as a sibling duo.

-Shannen wishes that someone had sat her down, warned her of the severity of her actions, and let her know that if she didnt shape up it would lead to her termination.

-They admit that BH90210 probably wasnt the right choice for a show as people likely wanted to see an actual revival instead of a parody of the actors playing heightend versions of themselves.

-Shannen was reluctant at first of the idea but once Luke passed away she knew she had to do it in his memory. She also revealed that she & Luke were in the process of doing a tv show together before he passed away.

-The show was a mess bts as they were trying to find their footing which they never found since it was cancelled after 6 episodes, a career first for both of them.

-Shannen had to laugh at herself as tables turned bts. 20 years ago she was the one who was constantly late and holding up proudction. Flashfoward to BH90210 and she's the first one to arrive and others were late and holding up production.

-They're happy about the shows legacy, a bunch of people watched the show for the first time during COVID, they paved the way for Teen shows on tv, and were one of the first shows to air new episodes during the summer that lead to the show becoming a massive success.
