Olivia mentioned she wanted to scream in a song like Taylor does in "Cruel Summer" and ended up having to give Taylor writing credits and like 50% of what she makes from that song (I think "good 4 u"?). I think Paramore also got writing credits because it sounds like "Misery Business," but I don't think they asked or wanted them. Basically, something about song interpolation and it's extra shitty because Olivia used to be a huge Taylor Swift fan and talked her up all the time and since then she hasn't spoken of her and made a comment about not meeting your heroes. And I think there's drama with Sabrina Carpenter and TSwift being all buddy-buddy with her now too lol.

Nah, it’s beyond that. Taylor doesn’t like when a new girl is getting attention so she buddies up to them, “gives them advice” and in the end they end up losing momentum (see: Lorde). What she did to Olivia was a nasty move and I wasn’t surprised by it. I’m sure she’s a good friend to people who are not in direct competition to her but she is first and mostly business and deep down knows HER talent alone won’t keep her where she is right now. It’s natural for her to feel threatened by younger/actually talented artists and strategically keep them in check but I hope Karma breaks up with her and teaches her a lesson.
